Bid Process

The bid process for an existing golf course is generally similar to a new course with the exception that the contractor list can be quite different. There are a number of golf course contractors who specialize in renovation/restoration work. They are skilled at working in defined areas and often with member play ongoing.

Once the contractor list is identified, John Fought Design (JFD) will organize a pre-bid meeting on site and provide construction documents to the group. Once the bids are returned, we will assist the club with the selection of the best-qualified proposal. This means the lowest price does not always equate to the best proposal.
